(I had to listen to several of the other children's books he read too-- Madeline, Curious George, etc.) All those innocent-seeming books we had in the library-- and even though I read them as an adult, I never saw any of those sinister environmental, cultural, or sexual undercurrents... (Guess I did have some idea of cultural issues with Babar, though)-- they are hilarious!
