It's a great world we live in. I wouldn't make a statement like that without some evidence.
I think the Day of the Donut speaks for itself. I can't believe I missed this holiday! Must celebrate post-date. For those of you who enjoy a the ridiculous quizzes on Facebook, I have one for you - What Donut Am I? Re: Donuts. comedian Mitch Hedberg says it best:

Other reasons to keep on keeping on:

Frugal Foodies combines two of my most distinct characteristics: thriftiness and eating. Not to mention my love of meeting total strangers.

Also I think I will attend the Los Angeles Tamale Festival in November. One of my all-time favorite foods...spicy and warm at a chilly time of year...I love havi ng things to look forward to! On the topic, I'm currently anticipating conventions, HP6 (it feels a bit strange having those two side by side), family camping adventure in the Olympic National Forest at the end of August, the Eclipse movie and road trips!

Lastly, Holi - the annual Hindu spring festival of colors - has to be the best festival ever. New life goal is to attend and hopefully not be shunned but instead covered in colored powder and water. Crazy good time! More pics at Big Picture blog.
